Wind energy to generate green hydrogen for the region.

We were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study for a wind farm planned by Energiekontor AG in the city of Geestland. The aim of the feasibility study was to determine the potential of the region and to configure an economically sensible design of an electrolyzer from this.

Essen

The city of Essen, as winner of the HyExperts funding program, has assigned Hydrogentle GmbH, as part of a consortium of consultants, to develop a corresponding feasibility study for the transformation process of an urban region towards zero emission, using hydrogen.

Our focus is to identify the H2 demand potential in the mobility sector. In this context, Hydrogentle GmbH, together with a local company, has developed a scenario that shows the gradual conversion of the vehicle fleet to hydrogen, as well as the necessary provision of hydrogen supply sources and refueling infrastructure.

Lausitz

The "Lausitz Reference Power Plant" (RefLau) project has prevailed in the nationwide ideas competition "Reallabore der Energiewende" (Real Laboratories of the Energy Transition) organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and received a funding commitment. The strategic goal is to map the future energy supply based on renewable energy sources and hydrogen, including storage, at the Schwarze Pumpe industrial site. The aim is therefore to identify precautionary hydrogen demand potential in the region in order to supply the first customers by the time the plant is commissioned in 2025 and to utilize synergies in the establishment of a hydrogen economy.

Hydrogentle GmbH, together with its partners from the Zweckverband Industriepark Schwarze Pumpe, Energiequelle and Enertrag, was commissioned to develop model projects for the application of hydrogen in the region around RefLau. For this purpose, Hydrogentle has recorded the demand potential of 11 mobility companies and condensed a Hydrogen filling station concept for two companies into a project outline.

Helgoland

helgoland

The public utility companies (VBH) of Helgoland aims to supply convert their island with an emission-free heat supply.

We were assigned by the VBH to investigate the heat supply by means of hydrogen - from the electricity from off-shore wind turbines - in addition to mobility and power supply in a feasibility-study.

Cuxhaven

How can ships be supplied with energy during their laytime so that as few as possible greenhouse gas emissions burden the air on-site?

In this project, we are actively promoting the establishment of a hydrogen-powered port in Cuxhaven. Both the local industry and the port operations in Cuxhaven can be converted sustainably to renewable energies through the hydrogen produced in the Elbe-Weser region.

Morocco

morocco

Morocco’s target is to increase the share of renewable energy in the country’s electricity generation capacity mix to 52% by 2030. Especially the capacity of wind energy and solar energy will significantly rise and lead to peaks in electricity generation.

A part of our Pre-Feasibility Study is focused on the power-to-gas process. In order to mitigate the effects of power fluctuations, an energy storage system based on hydrogen can be used, if the electricity generation plans cannot compensate for the peak and off-peak in electricity generation from renewables. In Addition, the production of Ammonia using green Hydrogen was also focus of this study.

Saudi-Arabia

Regarding the creation and development of the domestic renewable energy economy, we, together with other partners, have consulted Plambeck Emirates to carry out two Pre-Feasibility Studies for Saudi-Arabia. The first study incorporates a holistic approach for the long-term development of offshore and onshore wind in combination with climate-friendly production of water and hydrogen. The second study particularly focuses on offshore wind projects and the corresponding development.

Both Pre-Feasibility Studies demonstrate major opportunities for the development of renewable energy projects, the creation of local jobs, and the climate-neutral production of water and hydrogen – two crucial resources for the country's future path.

Autonomous Green Hydrogen Production

Solar meets Hydrogen. We have been harvesting the solar energy for many years now. The technology is proven. The benefits of green hydrogen generated by electrolysis are more than ever public and the technology is proven. Connecting the technologies, we conducted a study where Hydrogen can autonomously be generated by solar plants in North Africa or the middle east. This ensures a decentralized green Hydrogen production. The produced Hydrogen can be used directly (compressed or as liquefied H2) or can be converted into derivates like Ammonia, Methane or Methanol for further uses and transportation.
